DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 3/10/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 3/10/21. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

The major conference tournaments get going in earnest today. The four-game early slate is a bit of a yawner, but we really get cooking with gas at night with 11 games in the DraftKings tournament. There are no automatic bids on the line, but there are several teams trying to improve their seeding or just fighting to get in. This is when the college basketball season really gets started! Let jump right into this one!

The Big Ten(14), Big 12(10), Big East, Pac 12, SEC, and ACC all have games on this one. They are all well known teams, so we wont have the advantage we've had the last few days of having teams and players that no one has heard of. The Big East games all have implied totals under 135. On an 11-game slate, I may end up fading all of those. The only SEC offering we have also has a low implied total at 134. The Big Ten(14) games are in the low 140's. So are the Big 12(10) offerings. The ACC seems to be the place to be with Notre Dame and North Carolina topping the offerings at 149. Duke-Louisville finds itself in the 140's as well. We could wind up being ACC heavy here.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/10/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

David Duke, Providence ($9,000)

You know what a sucker I am for Austin Reaves, so the guy to dethrone him from top billing must be something special. The usage on Reaves will be high as usual, but he was unimpressive against the Cyclones both times this year. Meanwhile, Duke played 84 of the 85 possible minutes against DePaul this year and put up 87.5 DraftKings points. Duke even came close to 40 DraftKings points in the upset of Villanova last weekend in which only 106 combined points were scored. He's safe with ample upside tonight. The best of both DFS worlds.

Carlik Jones, Louisville ($7,700)

Don't pay any mind to nightmarish end of the regular season for Jones. He went just 2-15 from the floor in a loss to Virginia. Concentrate more on his performance again Duke two games ago when he put up 43 DraftKings points. Jones also topped 40 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Blue Devils this year. Louisville is likely in the tournament, but Duke needs a deep ACC tournament run to have a shot. If Duke comes out with a purpose like they did last night, it could mean trouble for Jones. However, Louisville isn't just going to roll over. I see a nice game from Jones no matter what.

Trey McGowans, Nebraska ($6,200)

The Cornhuskers always seem to get involved in high-scoring games. The last game with Penn State almost hit 170 without overtime! McGowans was a big part of that. The guards on both teams were the stars of that game and that should be the case again. That said, McGowens is the only Nebraska guard that has been consistent enough for me to go back to. Nebraska is a dog here, but they should go out with a fight. Still, McGowens is the only one I trust enough on an 11-game slate. We don't need to reach for anything tonight.

Jamal Mashburn, Jr., Minnesota ($4,800)

Gabe Kalscheur is still out which means Mashburn will continue to start for the Gophers. He has at least 22 DraftKings points in six of his eight starts this year. One of those was against Northwestern in which he put up a solid 24.5 DraftKings points. I'll definitely take that from a value play. Mashburn is the first guy that I really feel was underpriced on this slate. You can make a case for Carlik Jones, but Mashburn could get somewhere near 7x value. That's very rare in college.

Also consider: Scottie Pippen, Jr., Vanderbilt ($8,800); Charlie Moore, DePaul ($7,500); Jamari Wheeler, Penn State ($5,700); David Johnson, Louisville ($5,300); Thorir Thorbjarnarson, Nebraska ($4,600)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Timmy Allen, Utah ($8,200)

Allen is one of the more consistent guys you will find. He has between 34 and 38 DraftKings points in seven of his last ten games. In GPP's, it's fine to chase Matthew Hurt against the Louisville front, but I would argue for Allen in cash. He was right in between those numbers against Washington this year as well, putting up 71.75 DraftKings points in the two meetings. That was with his poor shooting (38% from the floor) in those games. If Allen gets somewhere near his season average of 46.5% from the floor, he could go well over 40 at a much lower price than Hurt.

Nate Watson, Providence ($7,200)

Watson is nice for DFS because he doesn't need to get a ton of shots to score a ton of points. He shoots a hair over 60% from the floor on the season. Why am I bringing that up? Much like Allen, Watson struggled from the floor against DePaul this year, shooting just 36.4% in the two games. He still put up 60.5 DraftKings points in the two meetings. Even if he just gets halfway between his percentage against DePaul and his season mark, Watson is a real threat for 40 DraftKings points. If he shoots 60% from the floor, a ceiling game is possible.

Spencer Jones, Stanford ($4,800)

Jones isn't much of a scorer, so that limits his upside. It also give him a better floor than most of his counterparts in this price range. Jones put up 41.75 DraftKings points in the two games against Cal this year. Add to that his current streak of four games over 4x value and he looks like another solid play. We're not asking much at this price.

Myles Dread, Penn State ($4,100)

This is a good matchup for Penn State forwards. The problem is that none of them have been very consistent. Seth Lundy had a career game to close out the regular season against Maryland, so he could cut into Dread's production. John Harrar checks all the boxes as well, but Dread had more DraftKings points against Nebraska this year than Harrar did and at a fraction of the cost. I will have some exposure to the Penn State front and it will mostly depend on what I can afford. It's hard to ignore Dread's 52 points in two games against Nebraska this year. For whatever reason, he just seems to match up well against them.

Also consider: Zach Freemantle, Xavier ($8,500); Mark Williams, Duke ($7,500); Jae'lyn Withers, Louisville ($6,600); Noah Horchler, Providence ($5,500)
