Rockets guard Jae'Sean Tate is a worthy consideration as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 9 of the NBA season.

ANALYSIS: Had you told me back in November that Houston will be starting and playing Jae'sean Tate 13 consecutive times and 27+ MPG from mid-January to mid-February, I'd have probably called you a fool. But here we are, folks. And the Rocks are proving me wrong.
Sure, a lot of stuff has happened for this to become a reality, but that's a thing of the past and we live in the present. And the present--and future--is pointing in Tate's direction so you better be making him your no. 1 WW priority for the week. Why? These are Tate's numbers since Jan. 30 included: 12 PPG, 6 RPG, 1.5 APG, and 61.5 FG% on 8 FGA. That sounds about right, truth be told.
Tate is going to keep racking up games, minutes, and opportunities. The Rockets are missing Christian Wood and that has downsized their lineups a bit, adding even more room for Tate to operate. John Wall, DMC, and Oladipo will keep resting here and there, PJ Tucker might end traded out of Houston, and the Rockets are more into a rebuilding effort than a contending one, which makes 25-year-old Tate a prime keeper. The high playing time works against him on a per-minute basis, but the overall numbers are as good as they can get.
