Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott will fire off from the third position in Sunday night's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Elliott and the No. 9 team are coming off of a solid seventh-place run, at Bristol, last week, where Elliott was a contender for the win until he got trapped a lap down on pit road. Elliott has been very strong at LVMS, despite only having three top-10 finishes in seven races. In February, Elliott led 70 laps and looked to have the car to beat until he cut a tire and suffered damage. Elliott has an above-average salary in DFS and lacks the upside in position differential, but given how strong he ran in the first race at LVMS, Elliott would not be a bad lineup choice.--John Pitucci - RotoBaller
