After flip-flopping wins and losses since 2012, Ryan Benoit lost his second bout in a row, this time by unanimous decision to Tim Elliott on Wednesday night. Benoit landed a few less significant strikes than his opponent with 55, but Benoit connected at a better rate of 45%. His takedown defense was amazing, stuffing 12 of Elliott's 13 takedown attempts. Benoit did have some moments in the fight where his striking was highlighted. He even almost landed a kneebar in the second round. Benoit is a hard-nosed, high-pace fighter, but so was his opponent.
