The Miami Marlins selected Mustang High School pitcher Daxton Fulton with the third pick of the second round (40th overall) in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. Fulton had Tommy John surgery on his left elbow last September. He displayed a low-90s fastball with a steep downhill plane with his 6-foot-6 frame and high three-quarters arm slot before his injury. With full health and more strength to his big frame, the southpaw should be able to improve his velocity. His curveball is also a major weapon as a plus pitch. Fulton has an impressive ability to keep his delivery in sync despite his age and size. The 18-year-old originally committed to Vanderbilt before signing with Oklahoma.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
