Bundesliga DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings Soccer - Matchday 31 (6/13/20)

Richard's DraftKings DFS lineup picks for Bundesliga Matchday 31 on June 13th, 2020. Read his daily fantasy soccer advice, matchup breakdowns and DFS sleepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Seems like we might start to see more action on the field, with the English Premier League, set to return. The stadiums might be empty, but that doesn't mean that the teams aren't playing to win. The title matchups happened earlier in the week, and the later matchups bring more relegation battles.

In this article, I will be providing you with my Bundesliga daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/13/20 for the slate that locks at 9:30 am ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports.

The main DraftKings DFS slate this week is for five games, and below I'll give a quick preview of each of them (so you know what to expect) and then move onto some names to consider for your lineups. You can always find me on Twitter @RichKingFF if you have any questions. Good luck RotoBallers!

Bundesliga DFS Lineup Picks - Matchups Overview

VfL Wolfsburg vs Freiburg

Wolfsburg will be looking to build on a victory in their last game with a home matchup against Freiburg. Wolfsburg has been a better team away from home, but they should get a result here.

Hertha Berlin vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Hertha will be aiming to bounce back from a narrow loss in their last game. They will be aiming to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Europa League, meaning that they should be able to beat off Frankfurt who have struggled this season.

Fortuna Dusseldorf vs Dortmund

Dortmund are the clear favorite here. Equally, they have to continue to win games to put pressure on Bayern in the race for the league title. With star striker Erling Haaland returning to the team, this should be an easy win for the visitors.

FC Koln vs FC Union Berlin

Koln drew in their last game, but if they are to survive in the league they can't afford to make any slip-ups. Union Berlin will be aiming for something out of this game as they aim to avoid relegation.

SC Paderborn vs Werder Bremen

Paderborn might have only managed to get a draw in their last game, but they will have taken that against Leipzig. However, despite that, they are still looking likely to be relegated. Werder Bremen are also a team that will be aiming to avoid defeat also as they attempt to escape relegation. As with Koln v Union Berlin this has a big chance of ending up as a draw.

If you aren't familiar with how players score in soccer on DraftKings take a look at their scoring methodology. And to submit a lineup you need to select 1 Goalkeeper, 2 Defenders, 2 Midfielders, 2 Forwards, and a Utility player (most likely a Midfielder/ Forward). If you have any more questions on the setup let me know, you can find me on Twitter @RichKingFF.

Now let's take a look at some of my top DraftKings DFS selections for the week!

DraftKings DFS Midfielders / Forwards

You'll see in going through the slate that there are lots of players that have dual eligibility to be in your midfield or forward slot. Here you are looking for players that are constant scoring threats, as well as players that get involved in wide areas where they can put crosses in.

Jaden Sancho ($12,500) is an obvious choice (if you can afford him) there is a reason that he is being touted for a big summer move. And that is because he pulls the strings for Dortmund's potent attack. If you want to go slightly cheaper in the same attack you could opt to get the returning Erling Haaland ($11,000) who is a constant goal-scoring threat and could have lower ownership as this will be his first game back from injury. Alternatively, you could opt for Achraf Hakimi ($8,100) who pulls the strings in the midfield but is equally a threat for the team going in the final third.

Elsewhere, Mark Uth ($10,500) is a good option if you want to diversify. Uth is used in Koln's attack in all aspects of their game, which makes him extremely valuable. In that same game, there are two players on the opposition that are worth consideration. Christopher Trummel ($7,600) and Marius Bulter ($6,200) are both players that have shown that they can be attacking threats, and have fantasy value.

Outside of those two games, there are some options that are worth considering. Wolfsburg attacker Wout Weghorst ($7,400) is the player that the team looks to if they need a goal, which can offer you an effective alternative to some other popular options listed above. As a final alternative, you could opt for Eintracht duo Filip Kostic ($9,000) and Andre Smith ($6,100) who are important parts of their team's attacking options and set-pieces.

DraftKings DFS Defenders

Defenders are where it starts to get interesting. In an ideal world, you want a defender who has a good chance of keeping a clean sheet while getting involved in attacking play.

Dortmund duo Emre Can ($5,000) and Lukasz Piszczek ($4,100) are fine plays on this slate. The team are expected to win and both players are involved in getting their team moving forward. Can has operated as a midfielder and has shown that he is not worried about pushing forward and putting key passes into the box. While Piszczek is a wide threat that has shown his ability to get forward and put crosses into the box.

If you are looking to select some players from other games for your lineup, then Marco Friedl ($4,600) and Theodor Gebre Selassie ($3,900) could be worthwhile considerations. Selassie has started to see usage as a wing-back which has led to more shots on target and crosses in recent weeks, which could prove vital if Werder Bremen are going to get anything from this game. Friedl equally has shown an ability to get forward but is more expensive as he has been used in that role for longer.

DraftKings DFS Goalkeepers

For this slate, there are only two goalkeepers that are worth considering outside of Dortmund's Roman Burki ($5,800).

Timo Horn ($5,300) and Rune Jarstien ($5,200) are both goalkeepers that are on defenses that have a chance at keeping a clean sheet. Outside of those, there are some cheaper options, but you are looking at just trying to get some saves to help rescue some points for your team.

And that's it! Any questions, you know where to find me otherwise Viel Glück (good luck) RotoBallers.
