The Atlanta Falcons declined the $10.051 million fifth-year option on defensive end Charles Harris on Monday, according to a source. The Falcons acquired Harris from the Miami Dolphins last Friday in exchange for a 2021 seventh-round draft pick. The 22nd overall pick in 2017 had just 3.5 sacks in 1,196 snaps for Miami, so he will have to prove himself in Atlanta this year in order to remain with the team beyond the 2020 season. The Falcons are hoping Harris can help a pass rush that finished with only 28 sacks in the 2019 campaign. They've gotten pressure on a league-worst 22 percent of dropbacks in the last two years. Harris, 25, will make $1.943 million in the final year of his rookie deal.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
