Los Angeles Angels pitching prospect Jose Soriano (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery last week and will miss the entire 2020 season. Still just 21 years old, Soriano is the Angels No. 9 prospect, per MLB Pipeline. The right-hander dominated the Midwest League in 2019, posting a 2.55 ERA and 1.30 WHIP while striking out 84 and walking 48 in 15 starts and two relief outings over 77 2/3 frames. Soriano's control needs to improve as he ages, but he's very athletic and could rise quickly through the system once he recovers from his elbow injury. It's a setback for Soriano, but he could be an option for the major league rotation in a few more seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
