Joe Flacco Expected To Be Out 4-6 Weeks
Joe Flacco (neck) is expected to be out four to six weeks, according to a source. Flacco isn't expected to need surgery, but at this point it seems like a long shot that he'll play again in 2019, especially with the Broncos nowhere near playoff contention. It's also likely to be Flacco's only season in Denver. Backup Brandon Allen is taking over moving forward, but rookie Drew Lock (thumb) could make some starts to close out the year if he's fully healthy. Allen is not a realistic QB2 option, and his presence under center isn't good news for No. 1 wideout Courtland Sutton.
