Washington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby allowed four goals on 42 shots in Wednesday's Game 7 loss against the Carolina Hurricanes in double overtime, falling in the first round after winning the Stanley Cup last season. Holtby allowed a short-handed goal to Sebastian Aho, showing off poor rebound control midway through the second period. However, his team staked him back to a 3-1 lead shortly after that, but Teuvo Teravainen, Jordan Staal and eventually Brock McGinn rattled off three unanswered goals to stun the champs and send them to the golf course early.--Daniel Dobish
