Stewart-Haas Racing's Clint Bowyer failed to advance to the second round in qualifying on Friday, and he vented his frustration about the new qualifying procedure at Texas Motor Speedway, calling the outcome of the session an "epic failure." He ended up in the 25th starting spot for Sunday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 after a best speed of 185.593 mph. Bowyer could be an attractive DFS selection this weekend for his potential of many Place Differential points.--Daniel Dobish
