Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Curtis McElhinney allowed two goals on 26 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 home loss against the New York Rangers. The offense couldn't break through against Hurricanes killer Henrik Lundqvist, as the Rangers goaltender stopped all but one of the 44 shots he faced. Only left wing Jordan Martinook was able to post a goal midway through the second period, giving the Canes a short-lived lead. It was McElhinney's first loss since the All-Star break, as he is still a rather impressive 4-1-0 with a 1.80 goals-against average and .942 save percentage since the break.--Daniel Dobish
