C.J. Cron Leaves Game Sunday Versus Oakland, Hopes To Return Tuesday
C.J. Cron left the game Sunday after being hit in the fifth. His right forearm was swollen and sore after being hit by a pitch that forced him from the game, but X-rays were negative. He hopes to return Tuesday. Cron has 12 home runs and 32 RBI on the season put him well ahead of a pace to break his career high of 16. He is currently batting .264, which is much better than many late-round power options. Also worth noting is that he accumulated most of his 2017 stats and fantasy value in the second half of last season. He is not a shallow league standout, but he definitely has value in deeper leagues.
