Thor threw seven innings, earning the win by allowing only one earned run on six hits and a walk while striking out seven. Sunday marks the second consecutive outing Syndergaard punched out seven. It was a big step in the right direction for Thor, who has been good – but slightly underwhelming in 2018. Amazingly, it was only his second start of the season where he both threw six innings and struck out seven or more.
