The Miami Marlins are making several changes to their starting rotation Wednesday, according to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com. Frisaro writes that Caleb Smith's start has been moved from Wednesday to Thursday, with Elieser Hernandez making his first start of the year on Wednesday against the Dodgers. With Hernandez moving into the rotation, Frisaro adds that it appears Jarlin Garcia will be moving from the rotation to the bullpen. Hernandez has been used primarily as a starter throughout his minor league career, posting a 9.0 K/9 and 3.37 ERA over 400 1/3 career innings. Streaming Hernandez against the Dodgers could be a high-risk, high-reward scenario thanks to LA's recent skid. But the bigger fantasy impact, however, will be from Garcia's move to the 'pen. Garcia hadn't been putting up amazing strikeout numbers, but he had a decent ERA and was providing value in leagues that count quality starts, with three of his six starts going for quality starts. For the time being, Garcia can be dropped in the majority of leagues until he returns to the rotation, if at all.--MichaelRead More News
