Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Carlos Gomez drove in two runs Friday versus the Orioles. He would hit an eighth-inning triple that drove in two runs and then would come around to score in the same inning. Unfortunately, the Rays were already down 8-1 going into the inning, largely due to Manny Machado's two home runs and six RBI. Gomez was a superstar back in 2013 & 2014. In those two seasons, he combined for 47 home runs and 74 steals with a .284 average in both seasons. He has since struggled and not played more than 118 games in any of the past three seasons while playing for three teams. Gomez still has some upside to become a relevant as he is on pace for 23 HR and 14 steals but needs to raise his .205 batting average.--Jamie Mellor
