Los Angeles Dodgers starter Rich Hill (finger) was scratched from starting the final game of the team's weekend series against the Padres in Mexico. There's concerns about the humidity and weekend rain aggravating his blisters. Ross Stripling will make his second start of the season in his place. Hill's finger has sidelined him, off and on, for a few seasons now and his frequent DL stints are a source of frustration for his owners. Stripling has been mostly used out of the bullpen this season but did start a bullpen game against the Diamondbacks on April 30th. In four innings, he gave up four earned runs on eight hits, with two strikeouts and one walk. He should do better against the lowly Padres and could be a good streamer for desperate weekly league teams that are looking for one last push to put them over the top.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
