The Texas Rangers are shuffling their regular lineup around a bit, slotting Isiah Kiner-Falefa sixth, Jurickson Profar third, Joey Gallo fifth, and Nomar Mazara fourth. The outfielder has yet to produce much power on the season, with just three home runs and .120 ISO on the season thus far. However, much of that could be due to an elevated ground ball rate and lower fly ball rate. Mazara has actually been making the most hard contact of his career, and his line drive rate is climbing. It's clear that he's been pressing at the plate, but if he calms down and brings a better game plan to the plate, he could turn that lack of pop around in short order. The move to cleanup is due to the litany of injuries, but it does show that the Rangers have confidence in Mazara's bat going forward.--Sean ScamptonRead More News
