Brian Flores Signs Extension With Vikings
Defensive coordinator Brian Flores signed an undisclosed contract extension to stay with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. If Flores doesn't receive a head-coaching job this cycle, he will be back in 2026 to coach the Vikings' defense. His best chance to land another head-coaching job will be with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he has also interviewed with the Baltimore Ravens. The last two seasons in Minnesota, the Vikings' defense has been in the top 10 in points allowed. The 44-year-old spent 15 seasons on head coach Bill Belichick's coaching staff with the New England Patriots and won four Super Bowl rings. Flores then coached the Miami Dolphins for a couple of seasons before serving as the linebackers coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After that, he joined Minnesota, where he's been for the last three years.
