Brandon Beane Promoted to President of Football Operations
The Buffalo Bills announced on Monday that they promoted general manager Brandon Beane to president of football operations. It comes on the same day that they also fired head coach Sean McDermott following their Divisional Round loss on Saturday to the Denver Broncos. Beane and McDermott were both hired by the organization in 2017, and the Bills made the playoffs in eight of their nine seasons together. It's been quite a run for Buffalo with quarterback Josh Allen at the helm, but Beane will now lead the search to try to find a head coach who can lead the Bills back to the Super Bowl, and hopefully to their first-ever championship. The presence of Allen at the most important position in football immediately makes the Bills' vacant head-coaching job one of the most attractive in the NFL this offseason.
