Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 18:
Tank Bigsby, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby could be the starter in Week 18 against the Washington Commanders. Bigsby was traded from the Jaguars to the Eagles after Week 1 and has served as a handcuff to star running back Saquon Barkley this season. However, with the Eagles planning to rest their starters in Week 18, Bigsby could have a clear path to the RB1 role this week.
Bigsby has averaged 6.4 yards per carry with the Eagles this season and has played slightly more snaps than Will Shipley behind Barkley. The Commanders have given up the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs this season and, just two weeks ago, allowed Barkley to rush for over 130 yards and a touchdown. Bigsby will be a name to monitor on waivers or as a DFS play if the Eagles decide to rest Barkley and the starters.
Xavier Worthy, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy (illness) is missing a second straight practice this week on Thursday due to an illness, according to Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest. Worthy still has one more day to practice on Friday, but heading into a meaningless Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, it's fair to wonder if the 22-year-old will be active.
Rashee Rice (concussion) is on season-ending Injured Reserve as well, so if Worthy is inactive this weekend, the Chiefs would be down to Marquise Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and tight end Travis Kelce as their top pass-catchers with third-string quarterback Chris Oladokun running the offense. With Rice out in last week's Christmas Day loss to the Denver Broncos, Worthy failed to catch any of his three targets to give his fantasy managers a donut in Week 17.
Raheim Sanders, RB, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns undrafted rookie running back Raheim Sanders was a popular waiver wire add in Week 17, with Quinshon Judkins (leg, ankle) lost for the year and Dylan Sampson's status uncertain heading into a divisional matchup with the Steelers. Sampson was eventually cleared to play despite his hand injury, and neither rookie was able to do much in a 13-6 win. Approaching a Week 18 matchup with the Bengals with no playoff implications, we've reached the point in the year where many teams opt to see what they've got in some of their unproven rookies.
Unfortunately, Sampson also fits into this category, so another frustrating split is entirely possible. However, if either back is given the majority of the work, Cincinnati has been the most generous defense to opposing running backs all season long, providing an opportunity for one final RB1 performance.
Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) is not expected to play on Sunday against the division-rival Arizona Cardinals in the Week 18 regular-season finale, but head coach Sean McVay said he expects Adams to be ready for the playoffs next week. Adams aggravated a hamstring injury in Week 15 and will miss a third straight game this weekend. However, the 33-year-old veteran was seen running close to full speed before Monday night's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, and he should be good to play in the wild-card round of the postseason next week, barring a setback.
The six-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro brings another dimension to an already strong Rams offense, primarily in the red zone. Despite missing the last two games, Adams still leads the league with his 14 touchdown receptions in 14 games played. He hasn't been as prolific as Puka Nacua in yardage, but he still has a healthy 60 catches for 789 yards on the year for the Rams.
Jaylen Wright, RB, Miami Dolphins
Across nine games in 2025, Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright has recorded just 292 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 60 touches. However, the 22-year-old has played some of his best football in the month of December. Over his last four games, Wright has racked up 200 rushing yards and two scores on 39 carries. Wright's production upside is limited by the presence of star Dolphins running back De'Von Achane, who remains the clear lead back in Miami.
However, Wright could be overtaking Ollie Gordon II for the team's RB2 role, as Wright has out-snapped Gordon II 26 to 11 over the past two weeks. In fantasy leagues with 14 or more teams, Wright could be worth targeting on the waiver wire heading into his Week 18 matchup against the New England Patriots.
