NFL MVP Race: Top 10 Candidates Ahead of Week 15

The regular SEO is nearing the final stretch, and the MVP race is taking shape. Who are the top-20 MVP candidates ahead of Week 15 of the NFL season? Who is too high or too low? Let’s dive in!

Caleb Williams - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 10 - Caleb Williams, CHI

Caleb Williams and the Bears took a tough loss to the Packers on Sunday afternoon. In this game, the former No. 1 overall pick was inconsistent, going 19-for-35 for just 186 yards. While he added two passing scores in the second half, he threw his sixth interception of the season.

Over the last seven games, Williams has averaged 220.4 passing yards per game and added 30.7 rushing yards per game with an 11:3 TD:INT.

Jared Goff - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS Picks

No. 9 - Jared Goff, DET

Following a tough loss on Thanksgiving Day on their home field , the Lions picked up a critical victory on Thursday evening over the Cowboys. In this game, Goff was sharp, going 25-for-34 with 309 yards and a passing score. While running back Jahmyr Gibbs finished most of the drives with his legs, Goff consistently brought them into scoring position.

Goff is on pace to throw for 30+ passing scores for the third straight campaign. In addition, he has thrown just five interceptions this season, a stark drop from the 12 during each of the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Sam Darnold - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS Picks

No. 8 - Sam Darnold, SEA

Following a rough showing in Week 13, Sam Darnold got the Seattle passing attack back on track this past weekend. During their demanding victory over the Falcons, Darnold tossed three passing scores with 249 yards on 20 completions. The previous weekend, he threw for only 128 yards with no scores.

Since throwing four interceptions in Week 11 and totaling seven interceptions from Weeks 7 through 11, Darnold has been much better with his decision-making, posting a 5:1 TD:INT over his last three games while averaging 207.0 passing yards per game.

Justin Herbert - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 7 - Justin Herbert, LAC

Justin Herbert suffered a fracture in his non-throwing hand during their Week 13 victory over the Raiders. Despite this injury, Herbert was able to suit up on Monday evening and led the Chargers to another victory, this time over the Eagles. In this game, Herbert had a modest yardage total through the air, throwing for just 139, but did damage with his legs, running for 66 yards, which was his season-high.

While his 11 interceptions keep him a bit lower on this list, Herbert is on pace to enjoy another strong campaign. Through 14 weeks, Herbert has thrown for 2,981 yards, 22 TDs and has already set a career-high on the ground, combining for 419 rushing yards.

Dak Prescott - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 6 - Dak Prescott, DAL

Even though the Cowboys were unable to extend their win streak on Thursday night, Prescott once again put up stellar numbers in the box score. During their loss to the Lions, Prescott went 31-for-47 with 376 yards, one passing score, and two interceptions. Over his last four games, Prescott has put the offense on his back, averaging an eye-catching 323.0 yards per game with a 10:4 TD:INT.

If Prescott can lead the Cowboys to the postseason, expect him to make a strong push to join the top-3 on this list.

Bo Nix - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS Picks

No. 5 - Bo Nix, DEN

Bo Nix was not asked to do much, as the Broncos held a sizeable lead over the Raiders for most of the afternoon. In their victory, Nix went 31-for-38 with only 212 yards and no score. However, he did punch in a rushing score, his fourth of the season.

During Denver’s impressive 10-game winning streak, the former Oregon standout has averaged 241.9 passing yards per game, 17.3 rushing yards per game, and held a strong 18:6 (14 passing) TD:INT.

Josh Allen - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 4 - Josh Allen, BUF

Josh Allen had another heroic showing in Week 14 as he led the Bills to a thrilling comeback victory. En route to defeating the Bengals, Allen totaled 251 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and an additional 78 yards, and scored with his legs. Since Week 10, Allen has totaled over 300 yards from scrimmage in three games.

He enters Week 14 with 3,083 passing yards, 487 rushing yards, and 24 total TDs (12 through the air). However, his 10 interceptions have already surpassed his total last year (six), which keeps him just outside the top-3.

Jordan Love - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 3 - Jordan Love, GB

Jordan Love continued his stellar play and has jumped to the NO.3 spot on our list. During their comeback NFC North victory over the Bears, Love led the way, throwing for 234 yards and three scores. He added an interception, his fourth of the season.

Over the last two games, Love has knocked down the Lions and the Packers, which has pushed Green Bay to the top of the NFC North. In this game, Love has averaged 234.0 yards per game and combined for an eye-catching seven passing scores.

Drake Maye - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 2 - Drake Maye, NE

With the Patriots off in Week 14, Drake Maye sits safely in the No. 2spot on our list. In Week 13, Maye led the Patriots to another victory over the Giants. In this game, Maye went 24-for-31 with 282 yards and two scores.

As a sophomore, Maye has taken a massive step forward and helped the Patriots be viewed as legitimate AFC contenders. Through 14 weeks, the UNC product has totaled 3,412 yards with a 25:6 TD:INT (23 passing scores).

Matthew Stafford - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 1 - Matthew Stafford, LAR

Without a doubt, the 37-year-old sits in the top spot. Following a disappointing loss to the Panthers in Week 13, Matthew Stafford and the Rams bounced back in a big way in Arizona. On Sunday afternoon, Stafford was sharp, going 22-for-31 with 281 yards and three scores. Two of those scores went to his top wideout, Puka Nacua.

The veteran enters the final stretch with 3,354 yards and 35 scores. He has turned the ball over just four times, which is on pace to be the lowest mark of his career (over a full season). The Rams enter Week 15 as the top Super Bowl contenders.
