Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 14:
Woody Marks, RB, Texans
Houston Texans rookie running back Woody Marks (foot) will be fine, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans. Marks went out early in the first quarter but returned later in Week 13's win over the Indianapolis Colts and did not participate in Wednesday's practice. However, reassurance from their head coach is a good sign for Marks' availability for Week 14, when the Texans travel to Kansas City.
The fourth-round pick has been a nice surprise for fantasy managers this season, totaling 674 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games. It seems like Marks will be able to practice at some point this week and be ready for a showdown against one of the best run defenses in the NFL. Thursday's practice report will be one to watch in determining if Marks will be available this week.
Jayden Higgins, WR, Texans
Houston Texans rookie wide receiver Jayden Higgins is deserving of more attention off the waiver wire as he cements himself as the team's WR2 behind Nico Collins for the final stretch of the season. In the 20-16 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Higgins caught all five of his targets for 65 yards, which was second behind only Collins. It was another solid showing for the 22-year-old pass-catcher out of Iowa State after he had four catches on a season-high nine targets for 38 yards and his fourth touchdown of the year in last week's win over the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night.
It was nice to see Higgins show plenty of chemistry in quarterback C.J. Stroud's first game back from a three-game absence due to a concussion. He now has 32 receptions for 359 yards and four TDs in his first 12 games, and Higgins should be viewed as an ascending WR4/flex option for fantasy managers going into a Week 14 showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
RJ Harvey, RB, Broncos
Denver Broncos rookie running back RJ Harvey scored twice in Sunday's 27-26 overtime win over the Washington Commanders. Harvey had 13 carries for 35 yards and two touchdowns, while adding three catches for 27 yards on four targets. While Harvey out-touched backup running back Jaleel McLaughin 16 to seven, the most encouraging part about that was seeing him get the goal-line touchdowns.
Down the stretch, Harvey will likely be forced into a key contributor role in the Broncos' offense as he now has eight touchdowns in his rookie year. After having only six touches for 18 total yards when Harvey faced the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10, he will be poised for more work during their Week 14 rematch. Despite the rough outing in the previous matchup against the Raiders, Harvey is a must-start and a borderline RB1 heading into Week 14.
Kyren Williams, RB, Rams
Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice ahead of their divisional clash against the Arizona Cardinals. Despite being limited on Wednesday, head coach Sean McVay expects Williams to be ready to play in Week 14. The Rams have featured a committee much more in 2025 than in previous years, and Williams' workload has been limited.
The fourth-year running back has eclipsed 15 carries in just one of his last nine games, and second-year back Blake Corum has been efficient this season. Williams faces a Cardinals run defense that has struggled in recent weeks and has allowed double-digit fantasy points to every starting running back they've faced this season. If Williams is good to go this week, he is a high-end RB2 in Week 14.
Dontayvion Wicks, WR, Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) was a limited participant in practice during Wednesday's session. Wicks appears to have suffered a minor ankle injury during his epic Thanksgiving Day performance. He hauled in six of his seven targets for 94 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Detroit Lions. Wicks has been basically a non-factor all season long outside his big performance last week.
Especially with Jayden Reed (foot, shoulder) getting close to returning from Injured Reserve, Wicks' Week 13 performance could very well end up being an outlier in 2025. Rookie Matthew Golden (wrist) returning will also negatively impact Wicks' target share down the stretch. Despite last week's standout performance, Wicks should be considered a boom/bust WR4/flex for fantasy managers.
