Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 13:
Omarion Hampton, RB, Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers opened rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton's (ankle) 21-day practice window on Tuesday, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. The Chargers are coming out of their bye in Week 12, and Hampton is now eligible to return from Injured Reserve after missing the team's last six games with a left-ankle injury.
Whether the 22-year-old is cleared to play this Sunday against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13 will depend on how much he's able to do in practice this week. The North Carolina product was operating as L.A.'s clear lead back before his ankle injury, thanks to Najee Harris' season-ending Achilles injury. Kimani Vidal has been the Bolts' RB1 with Hampton sidelined, but his fantasy stock will take a huge hit when Hampton returns.
Hampton should not be floating around on any waiver wires in fantasy football leagues.
Rico Dowdle, RB, Panthers
Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle recorded six carries for 38 yards to go along with four receptions (four targets) for 36 yards in Monday night's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Dowdle was one of the few players who the Panthers could rely on to move the ball. The Panthers ran just 43 plays in the game, which limited their opportunities to get Dowdle a big workload.
His 10 touches were his fewest in a game since their blowout loss to the Bills in Week 8, where he had only eight touches. The former Dallas Cowboy was still quite productive with his opportunities, leading the team in rushing and receiving yards. Backup Chuba Hubbard was also more involved than expected in this game, handling three carries for 15 yards and four catches for 27 yards.
Dowdle has been more active as a receiver to offset some rushing inefficiencies lately, adding 12 receptions in the last three games, fifth most among running backs in that span. Dowdle has another tough matchup against an NFC West opponent in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB, Giants
New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. handled 20 carries for 62 yards to go along with three catches (four targets) for 68 yards as a receiver in Sunday's 34-27 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions. Tracy played a season-high 72% of the snaps in Week 12 and had three of the four running back carries inside the 10-yard line, which is notable because veteran Devin Singletary handled all nine carries near the goal line in the past two weeks.
The 26-year-old has now gone over 130 yards from scrimmage in back-to-back games, handling 23 touches in each matchup. Singletary was still involved, carrying the ball 14 times for 47 yards, but Tracy operated as the clear RB1, earning the goal-line touches and receiving work that makes him a much more appealing fantasy asset. Tracy should be viewed as a solid RB2 heading into Week 13 against the New England Patriots.
Terry McLaurin, WR, Commanders
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said on Wednesday that wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) will practice this week, according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic. McLaurin looks to have made some progress coming out of the team's bye week and could make his return on Sunday Night Football versus the Denver Broncos in Week 13. The 30-year-old's status for this week will depend on how much he can do in practice, though.
Scary Terry has played in only four games in 2025 due to his quad injury, but he could return just in time for the fantasy football playoffs in several weeks. If McLaurin does make his return in Week 13, he'll be coming back to an offense that is still being run by veteran backup quarterback Marcus Mariota as Jayden Daniels recovers from a gruesome dislocated left elbow. We'll be keeping a close eye on McLaurin's practice statuses this week
