Omarion Hampton Injury Update for Fantasy Football
On Tuesday, fantasy managers received very positive news about the former first-round pick. The Chargers officially opened Hampton's practice window. As a result, Hampton is expected to return to practice on Wednesday, leading up to their contest against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Managers should pay close attention to his practice status as he could even make a case to return in Week 13. If he can log at least one full session prior to Friday, he could enter the weekend with a questionable tag.
However, given the time he missed, managers should expect Hampton to likely make his long-awaited return in Week 14, after he logs two weeks of practice.

Omarion Hampton Fantasy Football Outlook
Given that his return is near, Hampton has seen his short-term fantasy upside skyrocket. When active, managers should expect him to reclaim the workhorse role he had after a short window once Najee Harris (Achilles) went down for the season. During Weeks 3 through 5, when Hampton logged at least 79% of the snaps, the UNC product averaged an impressive 21.8 PPR points per game.
During this stretch, Hampton saw 14.3 attempts per game and was heavily involved in the passing game, with 5.7 targets per game.
While Kimani Vidal has replaced him as the lead back, managers should expect him to return to his role as the clear No. 2 in favor of Hampton. Through his first five NFL games, Hampton has averaged a strong 4.8 YPC and 6.8 YPR, showing he can produce in all aspects of the game.
Given his upside as a legit three-down back, Hampton will immediately enter low-end RB1 territory as soon as he is active. He is a must-start when cleared from the IR and could be a potential league-winner. Managers should expect the Chargers to once again lean on Hampton as they look to clinch a spot in the postseason.
