NFL MVP Power Rankings: Top 10 Candidates Ahead of Week 13

The NFL season is past the halfway point, and the MVP race is finally coming together. Who are the top MVP candidates ahead of Week 13? Who were the biggest risers and fallers? Let’s dive in!

Daniel Jones - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

No. 10 - Daniel Jones, IND

Daniel Jones was unable to get the job done in a crucial match against the Chiefs, which brings him to the No. 1 spot on our list. In this contest, Jones went 19-for-31 with 181 yards and two scores. While he did not turn the ball over, he was unable to make the big play to seal the victory.

He will have another tough test in Week 13, facing the Houston Texans, who boast the sport’s top defensive unit. If Jones can rebound well, expect him to climb this list.

Caleb Williams - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL DFS Lineup Picks

No. 9 - Caleb Williams, CHI

Caleb Williams has not been overly efficient, but has continued to lead Chicago to a victory. In their Week 12 victory over the Steelers, Williams went 19-for-35 but threw for 239 yards and three scores. This was the second time in his last four games in which he threw at least three passing touchdowns in a single game.

Through 11 games, the former first overall pick has held 19:4 (16 passing) TD:INT with 2,568 passing yards and 293 rushing yards.

Jordan Love - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 8 - Jordan Love, GB

Jordan Love led the Packers to another victory, but he has seen his metrics decline steadily. With top tight end Tucker Kraft on the shelf, Love has been unable to replicate his early-season production in the box score. Over his last three games, Love has averaged just 163.0 passing yards per game and thrown just two passing scores.

However, with slot wideout Jayden Reed nearing a return, Love could enjoy a strong finish to his season. He will look to lead the Packers to a massive individual victory in Detroit on Thanksgiving.

Sam Darnold - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS Picks

No. 7 - Sam Darnold, SEA

After a four-interception game in their loss to the Rams in Week 11, Sam Darnold enjoyed a massive rebound game in their demanding victory over the Titans. In this game, Darnold went 16-for-26 with 244 yards and two scores.

While Darnold has often been tasked to be a game manager, he has enjoyed a strong debut season in Seattle, averaging 253.2 passing yards per game with a 19:10 TD:INT.

Jonathan Taylor - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 6 - Jonathan Taylor, IND

The only non-QB on this list had the potential to make a massive jump on this list. However, Taylor was shut down by the Kansas City, as he ran for just 58 yards, the second-lowest mark in a single game this season. He also did not find the back of the end zone for the third time in a game.

Despite the underwhelming showing, Taylor’s dominating Week 10 outing (244 yards, three scores) keeps him near the middle of the pack as he enters Week 13 with an eye-catching 17 total TDs.

Josh Allen - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 5 - Josh Allen, BUF

Josh Allen enjoyed a career outing in Week 11 during their victory over the Buccaneers when he punched in three scores through the air and added three on the ground. However, in Week 12, Allen and the offense were completely shut down by Houston as he was sacked eight times and threw for 253 yards, no scores, and two interceptions.

He has a prime spot to bounce back on Sunday, facing an inconsistent Pittsburgh defense that just surrendered 31 points to the Chicago Bears.

Jalen Hurts - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 4 - Jalen Hurts, PHI

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles got out ot a hot start in Dallas, dropping 21 points in the first half. However, their offense was completely shut down in the second half and was unable to pick up the victory. Hurts finished the game with 289 passing yards, one passing score, and added two more TDs with his legs.

While his 2,284 passing yards total is not high, Hurts has continued to find the back of the end zone, tallying 17 through the air and adding 4 on the ground.

Patrick Mahomes - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL DFS

No. 3 - Patrick Mahomes, KC

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs had a must-win again last Sunday against the Colts. Without a doubt, Mahomes was able to get the job in an overtime victory and brought the Chiefs back in the playoff hunt. In this game, Mahomes went 29-for-46 with 352 yards and no scores. While the Chiefs are sitting behind in the AFC West, Mahomes has enjoyed another incredible campaign.

He enters Week 13 with 2,977 passing yards, 318 rushing yards, and 22 total touchdowns (18 passing).

Drake Maye - Fantasy Football rankings, NFL DFS Picks, QB Streamers

No. 2 - Drake Maye, NE

Sitting comfortably in the top spot is second-year QB Drake Maye. Maye threw for a season-high 294 yards in their victory over the Bengals on Sunday. In this contest, Maye tossed just one passing score and threw his fourth interception in his last five games.

He has led the Patriots to an incredible 10-2 record and sits in sole possession at the top of the AFC East. Maye is averaging 260.8 passing yards per game and adding 25.6 rushing yards per game.

Matthew Stafford - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 1 - Matthew Stafford, LAR

Without a doubt, Matthew Stafford will sit at the top of this list. The 37-year-old is on pace to have one of the best seasons of his legendary career and has led the Rams to being legit Super Bowl contenders. Last Sunday night, Stafford continued to roll, throwing for 273 yards with three scores en route to defeating Tampa Bay.

Stafford has thrown at least three passing scores in six games and totalled at least 275 passing yards in six games. Stafford enters Week 13 with 30 passing scores and 2,830 passing yards and only two interceptions.
