Chris Godwin "Making Good Strides" and "Running"
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that wide receiver Chris Godwin (leg) is "making good strides" and is "running," but he couldn't say much more than that, according to the Pewter Report. Godwin has not played since suffering a pretty serious fibula injury in Week 5, and he remained sidelined at the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Although nothing is official yet, the 29-year-old is unlikely to make his return this Sunday to face the Buffalo Bills in Week 11. Godwin didn't make his 2025 debut until Week 4 while rehabbing a gruesome dislocated ankle that he suffered in Week 7 of 2024. He has yet to practice after injuring his fibula, and reports have suggested he may not play in a game again until December. With Mike Evans (collarbone) potentially done for the year, rookies Emeka Egbuka and Tez Johnson have become Tampa's top receivers, with tight end Cade Otton also filling the target void.
