Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts Sr. tied for the team lead in targets (10) and recorded the most catches (seven) in Sunday night's 20-10 loss to the 49ers, totaling 62 yards in the contest. It was a nice bounce-back performance after a 3-18-0 line in Week 6, and reestablished his place as the No. 3 pass-catcher in this offense with a 19.3 percent target share on the season, just slightly behind Bijan Robinson's 19.8 percent. The effort puts the 25-year-old on pace for 85 catches this season and 800-plus yards.

Though Darnell Mooney was active for this game, he received only five targets and has been targeted more than Pitts only one time this season in the four games in which he's played. The 6-foot-6 tight end gets a matchup with Miami in Week 8, a defense that has yielded the ninth-most fantasy points to TEs thus far and is allowing opponents to score 29.3 points per game, fourth-most in the NFL.

David Njoku, Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) remains day-to-day on Monday, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Njoku injured his knee in the Week 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and was unable to practice all of last week before being ruled out of the blowout win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The 29-year-old's knee injury isn't all that serious, so he could have a chance to play in Week 8 against the New England Patriots if he's able to return to practice this week.

If Njoku makes it back to face New England on Sunday, he'll be in play as a low-end TE1/high-end TE2 for fantasy purposes. Impressive rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. had the best game of his career against Pittsburgh with a 7-81-0 line, but disappointed with four catches for 36 yards against Miami with Njoku sidelined. Njoku's upside as a TE1 in fantasy has been capped in 2025 with Fannin involved.

Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers (knee) has missed the last three games as he recovers from the bone bruise and PCL injury he sustained in the season opener, but according to head coach Pete Carroll, he's expected to return to the field following the team's Week 8 bye. The Raiders are coming off one of the worst offensive performances in recent history, managing fewer than 100 total yards in a 31-0 shellacking from the Kansas City Chiefs, so for multiple reasons, the bye week comes at a good time.

Bowers caught five of eight targets for 103 yards in Week 1, but was clearly limited in his next three outings, lacking his trademark explosiveness as he played with a knee brace. Rather than risk further injury, the team made the decision to shut him down until he's fully healthy, and he is now in line to play in Week 9 against the Jaguars. While he may need to work himself back into game shape, he should still be inserted right back into starting lineups, as the upside he offers at the position is practically unmatched across the league.

Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller (pectoral) managed only 16 snaps before leaving Sunday's game against the Browns with a chest injury. A Monday MRI revealed that the 33-year-old veteran suffered a pectoral strain, and he is now considered week-to-week. There were fears that he had suffered a full tear, which could have ended his season, so the news is positive for the fantasy surprise who came out of retirement this offseason to score four touchdowns in his first three games.

With six teams on a Week 8 bye, fantasy managers without an IR spot might find it difficult to keep Waller stashed, but for contenders who can manage to keep him rostered, his upside at the position is worth holding onto.

Oronde Gadsden, Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Oronde Gadsden exploded in Week 7 against the Colts with seven catches (nine targets) for 164 yards and a touchdown. Gadsden had been working his way into a full-time role at tight end in Los Angeles, and it's all come together over the past two weeks.

He's logged a route on 77% of dropbacks in each of those games and should maintain a consistent role in the offense moving forward after a performance like this. The 2025 fifth-round pick was winning at all levels of the field and had an unreal catch and run for 53 yards early in the third quarter. His 164 yards were the most in a game by a rookie tight end since Kyle Pitts in 2021. Gadsden should be the priority waiver add in all formats this week.

Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has quickly become one of quarterback Dak Prescott's favorite targets in the passing game, and it didn't hurt that he wore his QB's high-school jersey to the stadium as a show of good faith. In the 44-22 blowout victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 7 on Sunday, Ferguson caught all seven of his targets for only 29 yards, but he found the end zone twice to bring his season total to six. In a high-volume Cowboys passing offense, the 26-year-old has developed some nice chemistry with Prescott this year.

Ferguson has exactly seven receptions in three of the last four weeks, and all six of his touchdowns on the season have come in the last four games. His ceiling will likely be lowered now that top wideout CeeDee Lamb has returned from a high-ankle sprain, but Ferguson's red-zone prowess should continue, making him a weekly TE1 for fantasy managers in what has been a high-scoring offense.
