Week 4 Wide Receiver Rankings Outlooks

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain on Sunday against the Bears, but on Tuesday, team owner Jerry Jones said his injury isn't considered "on the extreme end." However, Lamb still does not have an exact timeline. The team could still opt to place Lamb on IR, but a report on Monday from Ian Rapoport said that Lamb is expected to miss two games but not land on IR.

That would line up with Jones' statements on Tuesday, and could put Lamb on track to return in Week 6 against the Panthers or possibly Week 7 against the rival Commanders in a home divisional matchup. While Lamb is out, George Pickens and Jake Ferguson will need to step up and take more targets, along with potentially larger roles for KaVontae Turpin and Jalen Tolbert as well.

Travis Hunter, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter saw more snaps on defense for the first time this season in their Week 3 victory over the Texans. Through the opening two games of his NFL career, Hunter logged at least 39 offensive snaps in each game. However, this past Sunday, the former second overall pick saw this total drop to a season-low 35. In this game, Hunter caught one of his two targets for 21 yards. In the opening two games, Hunter was very involved in the passing attack, catching nine of his 14 targets for 55 yards.

While Hunter appears to be finding success on defense, given his target share in the opening weeks, managers should expect Hunter to continue to have a role on offense. For now, the Colorado project carries a WR3 value heading into a Week 4 tilt against the San Francisco 49ers.

Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was officially reinstated from his three-game suspension on Monday, according to Kevin Seifert of ESPN. Seifert noted that the Vikings currently have a two-day roster exemption and will not need to make room on their 53-man roster for Addison until Wednesday.

The team's No. 2 WR was suspended for the first three games of the campaign due to violating the league's Substances of Abuse Policy. Throughout his first two seasons in the NFL, Addison has been very productive, despite playing alongside superstar Justin Jefferson. Through 32 career regular-season games, Addison has found the back of the end zone 20 times and averaged 893.0 yards per season. Even though he is the team's No. 2 WR, Addison carries high-end WR3 value in all leagues going forward.

Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ankle/shoulder) is considered day-to-day heading into Week 4. Jennings played through a shoulder issue in Week 2, posting five catches for 89 yards and a touchdown, but he did not practice ahead of Week 3 and was ultimately ruled out.

If Jennings remains sidelined, second-year wideout Ricky Pearsall should see a boost in targets, especially with quarterback Brock Purdy trending toward a return this week. The matchup sets up well, as Jacksonville's secondary has struggled early in 2025. Jennings' status will need monitoring, but if active, he profiles as a flex option in most fantasy formats against the Jaguars.

Cooper Kupp, Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp is looking like a player who will be difficult to trust in fantasy football this season. Kupp scored 16 fantasy points on nine targets in Week 2, but he has only earned three targets in each of the Seahawks' other two games. Kupp reeled in two receptions for 31 yards in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints despite the Seahawks scoring 44 points.

With fellow wide receiver Tory Horton earning a larger role within the offense, Kupp may be up and down this season. He is a great chain-mover and veteran for quarterback Sam Darnold to trust, but his lack of consistent targets through three weeks makes him difficult to project in fantasy. He will always be a threat to earn eight to 10 targets in any given week, but it is clear that he could have a series of dud performances throughout the year as well.
