MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (8/25/25)

Kerry Carpenter - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Thunder Dan's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Monday, 8/25/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

It's a 10-game slate tonight with a fun combination of big arms and hot bats in good spots. Yes, there are plenty of good pitchers on this slate, but also some great hitting conditions in several parks that really demand our attention, too.

This should be a great GPP slate as I don't really see one pitcher or one hitting stack commanding too much rostership, and there's no Coors Field to suck up rostership either.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/25/2025, with the slate starting at 7:05 PM EST. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Cristopher Sanchez - PHI at NYM ($9.7K DK/$10.6K FD)

Sanchez comes into this game in elite form, and he will need to have his best stuff as the Mets are coming off a series where their offense put up some big numbers.

Sanchez has a fantastic 3.07 SIERA, 56% GB%, and 26% K% this season. His ability to get strikeouts combined with his strong prevention makes him my top arm on this slate.

Jacob deGrom, TEX vs. LAA ($9.3K DK/$9.9K FD)

There might be some hesitance to use deGrom today as he skipped his last start with what was deemed "shoulder fatigue." It could just as easily have been the Rangers giving him some extra rest, as he's now pitched more innings this season than he had in nearly five years.

As long as he's good to go tonight for five innings, he should smash the Angels, who have the worst K% against RHP over the last month (nearly 29%) in baseball. If he is indeed on a pitch count of some sort, that lowers his ceiling a bit, but he's still in such a good spot for strikeouts that it's hard not to pencil him into cash games at this price.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Vinnie Pasquantino, 1B - KCR ($4.5K DK/$3.2K FD)

No one is hotter than Pasquantino right now as he's left the yard in six of his last seven games. He was slow to get going this season, but he's been fantastic all summer, especially against RHP.

We have superb hitting conditions in Chicago today with the wind blowing out to center field, and Pasquantino will face Chicago righty Shane Smith, who has struggled with the long ball lately. Vinny's price continues to lag compared to his recent production.

Brooks Lee, SS on DK, 2B/3B/SS on FD - MIN ($3K DK/$2.7K FD)

Lee is a rising star in Minnesota and one of my favorite values on the slate. He's one of the better young switch-hitting infielders in the American League, and he's been stacking up good games in bunches lately.

Mad Max Scherzer is giving up a lot of hard contact this season and is still a very fly-ball pitcher. I like Lee and some of the other Minnesota lefties in this spot today, as Scherzer is no longer the elite arm that we have to avoid with hitters.

Cal Raleigh, C - SEA ($6K DK/$4.2K FD)

I am not sure what else there is to say about Raleigh at this point this season. He's put himself in the same company as Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani in terms of being a hitter who is hard to fade on a daily basis in DFS.

I can't bring myself to fade him here against a lefty, as he will spin around to hit from the right side, which has been his best split this season. He's facing a HR-prone pitcher and coming off another massive 2-home run game. Fade him at your own peril. I think Raleigh could go yard again tonight, and he's an anchor of all my Seattle stacks tonight.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kerry Carpenter, OF - DET ($5.1K DK/$3K FD)

Carpenter has one of the best matchups of any hitter on the slate tonight. Not only does he crush RHP, he's facing a pitcher (J.T. Ginn) who gets hammered by lefties, too. When we dig into the pitch mix a bit, Ginn throws mainly sinkers, change-ups, and cutters to lefties, and Carpenter has some elite stats against those pitches from righties this season.

His price on FD is a bad joke, as he costs just $3,000 despite hitting in the middle of a formidable Tigers lineup that is my top stack tonight. Deploy him with confidence in all formats.

Brent Rooker, OF - ATH ($5K DK/$3.6K FD)

Rooker should be a contrarian play tonight, considering he's facing the reigning AL Cy Young winner, Tarik Skubal. However, we have a great hitting environment in Sacramento tonight, and Rooker has some very impressive BvP against Skubal in his career.

He's hitting over .400 against Skubal with three home runs, and he's been impressive against lefties in general this season. I am probably not full-stacking the Athletics tonight against Skubal, but if a lightly-rostered Rooker hits a home run tonight, he could provide some nice leverage on the field as Skubal always carries some rostership when he pitches, too.

Randy Arozarena, OF - SEA ($4.9K DK/$3.1K FD)

Aroz left the yard yesterday, which was his 24th on the season and eighth off a left-hander. He's moved up to the leadoff spot against lefties and is delivering for Seattle, creating a dynamic 1-2-3 trio with Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez.

I like the matchup here against JP Sears, who has given up 21 of 25 home runs this season to righties. We are getting some elite power here for a decent price, along with some stolen base upside.

Others To Consider:

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Detroit Tigers at Athletics (J.T. Ginn)

I love Detroit bats tonight against Ginn, who has been absolutely crushed by left-handed hitters this season, and he's due for some ERA regression. We have elite hitting conditions in Sacramento, too, so I won't be surprised if the Tigers put up a crooked number on the Athletics tonight.

Favorite Combo: Carpenter, Greene, Perez, Keith (if in the lineup), or McKinstry

2. Seattle Mariners vs. San Diego Padres (JP Sears)

Sears is a fly-ball pitcher who has been pretty lucky lately with his results. He's got a tough matchup today against Seattle, who can toss out almost all RHH against him and they have power up and down this lineup. It's a boom/bust spot because the Mariners do strike out a lot vs. LHP, but they also could break the slate if they string together multiple home runs, too.

Favorite Combo: Arozarena, Raleigh, Rodriguez, Garver, Polanco

3. Chicago White Sox (sneaky) vs. Kansas City Royals (Noah Cameron)

The White Sox have been a pretty solid offense in the second half, and most people probably don't realize it. They match up pretty well here against rookie lefty Noah Cameron, who has pitched over his head when compared to his underlying numbers. They have the wind at their backs, and they'll carry very little rostership only because people never want to stack them as they are still perceived as a bad team.

Favorite Combo: Vargas, Robert, Sosa, Quero, Baldwin
