Jackson Chourio to Start Rehab Assignment on Friday
Jackson Chourio (hamstring) is completing baserunning, hitting and defensive work without issues and will start a minor-league rehab assignment on Friday with Triple-A Nashville, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Chourio has missed the last few weeks with a right-hamstring strain, but it's possible he'll come off the 10-day injured list early next week if he's able to avoid any setbacks with the Sounds this weekend. The 21-year-old has been out since late July. Chourio is one of the best young power/speed threats in the outfield in baseball and will give the red-hot, first-place Brewers a big boost when he returns. He was hitting .276/.311/.474 with 17 homers, 67 RBI, 71 runs and 18 steals in 445 at-bats before his injury. Blake Perkins and Brandon Lockridge will split center-field duties until Chourio returns.
