Konnor Griffin Tallies Three Hits, Swipes Three Bags
Konnor Griffin went 3-for-6 with a double, two RBI, two runs, and three stolen bases during their contest against High-A Aberdeen on Sunday. Over his last nine games, the former ninth overall pick from last year's MLB Draft has been very productive at the plate, posting a .324/.395/.529 slash line with a double, two home runs, and six stolen bases. Griffin made his professional debut this season with Low-A Bradenton but needed only 50 to prove he was ready to join High-A. During his stint with Low-A, the No. 2-ranked prospect in Pittsburgh held an impressive .338/.396/.536 slash line with 10 doubles, nine home runs, and 26 stolen bases. Even though Griffin is several seasons away from his MLB debut, he is quickly ascending prospect boards and could finish near the top of many lists at the end of the season.
