Hamstring Strain Lands Luis Robert Jr. on IL
Luis Robert Jr. (hamstring) was placed on the injured list Sunday with a left hamstring strain. The severity of his hamstring strain is unknown, but Robert recently took batting practice and did some pregame running ahead of Wednesday's game against the Dodgers. He had missed the prior two games with this injury before being placed on the injured list. He is eligible to come off the injured list on July 6. The 27-year-old has struggled this season, slashing .185/.270/.313 with eight home runs, 32 RBI, and 22 stolen bases. Brooks Baldwin was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday and could see playing time in the outfield with Austin Slater while Robert Jr. is out. Neither Slater nor Baldwin is worth rostering outside deep Al-Only leagues.
