Logan Gilbert Slated to Throw Sim Game Friday
Logan Gilbert (elbow) is expected to throw a simulated game in Houston on Friday, according to Tim Booth of The Seattle Times. Gilbert hasn't pitched in a live game since April 25, but he's trending in the right direction with a pair of bullpen sessions and his upcoming sim game. Presumably, a rehab assignment awaits Gilbert in the near future. The 28-year-old was off to an impressive start before suffering a right elbow flexor strain. Over six starts (30.1 innings), he posted a 1.73 xFIP, 13.05 K/9, and 1.78 BB/9. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he works toward returning to an MLB mound soon.
