CBB DFS: DraftKings Afternoon Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/4/25)

Johni Broome - College Basketball Rankings, NCAA CBB DFS Lineup Picks - icon rotoballer

Today's Afternoon DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 1/4/25. Mike M's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

The afternoon slate is a bit light this week, but it's not light on marquee matchups. We'll be able to find plenty of worthwhile DFS options in these five offerings this afternoon.

We start in Auburn with Missouri in town. Louisville heads to Charlottesville to take on the Hoos. K-State is in Fort Worth to satiate all of you purple lovers. San Diego State heads up to Boise. We close this out in Red Stick with Vanderbilt taking on the Bayou Bengals.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 1/4/25, starting at 4 p.m. EST. I’ll give multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Chucky Hepburn, Louisville ($8.8K)

Hepburn has only been under 33 DraftKings points once since November 22 and that game was a blowout win. A peek at Hepburn's numbers this year suggests that maybe Wisconsin just didn't know how to use him. He's a very good passer and can score with the best. His floor is high even against a team like Virginia.

Jason Edwards, Vanderbilt ($7.3K)

Three straight blowout wins by the Commodores gives us a chance to get Edwards at a cheaper price. He has only played 61 minutes over the last three games, but still scored 54 points. He's an elite scorer and active on defense. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Edwards is a high-volume sharpshooter with a strong floor.

Vyctorius Miller, LSU ($5.8K)

Miller has caught fire recently with 53 points in just 66 minutes over the last three games. LSU has a deep rotation of guards, but the minutes have remained consistent. Miller's have gone up a bit in the last couple of weeks and may continue to increase more if he keeps this up.

Taj DeGourville, San Diego State ($4.4K)

DeGourville is a rotational player who excels on defense. He's not much of a scorer and an average rebounder, but he makes up for that in steals. DeGourville is a low-risk value play, albeit with a low ceiling.

Also consider: Coleman Hawkins, Kansas State ($9.2K); Cam Carter, LSU ($8.2K); Alvaro Cardenas, Boise State ($7.2K); Miles Byrd, San Diego State ($6.6K); Reyne Smith, Louisville ($5.7K); Tony Perkins, Missouri ($5.3K); Caleb Grill, Missouri ($3.6K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Johni Broome, Auburn ($10K)

Broome likely won't do that again in 2025 as he is likely a lottery pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. As good as Broome was last year, he has been even better this year against better non-conference competition. The SEC is going to be a hell of a grind this year, but this is an excellent matchup with Missouri today. Broome is capable of dropping 60 in any given game.

Ernest Udeh Jr., TCU ($7.9K)

I still maintain that Kansas would be better off with this version of Udeh this year than Hunter Dickinson. Udeh is better offensively, but it's still an adventure for him to get to double figures. He's much better at crashing the boards and is an excellent defender. If Udeh becomes more assertive on offense, he could be huge in DFS lineups.

Elijah Saunders, Virginia ($6.5K)

Saunders has at least 15 points in four straight games. He's providing much-needed offense for Virginia up front while showcasing strong rebounding skills. We need his newfound shooting touch to stay to hit value for this price, but it's hard to ignore how good Saunders has been offensively in the past three weeks.

James Scott, Louisville ($5.3K)

Scott has been inconsistent this year, but when he stays out of foul trouble, he usually does well. He's hit or miss on offense and he can't be aggressive on the boards if he's racking up fouls. This is a solid matchup with Virginia tonight, but Scott carries plenty of risk with that 30-point ceiling.

Also consider: David N'Guessan, Kansas State ($8K); Tyson Degenhart, Boise State ($7.6K); Corey Chest, LSU ($6.4K); Andrew Meadow, Boise State ($5.9K); Jared Coleman-Jones, San Diego State ($5K)
