Top 25 Fantasy Baseball Prospects To Stash (Week 13): Redraft Rankings

Noelvi Marte - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Eric Cross's top 25 fantasy baseball prospects rankings for Week 13 (2024). MLB prospects, rookies, call-ups who can be fantasy baseball sleepers in redraft.

After a bit of a lull in the world of prospect promotions, the last couple of weeks have been very active on the prospect front. Joey Loperfido has gone up and down what feels like 35 times, and we saw Addison Barger recalled, along with the debuts of Ben Rice and Orelvis Martinez.

My gut tells me that this wave isn't over yet, either. We still have plenty of exciting prospects on the cusp of debuting, including a few that have already had a cup of coffee with their Major League team and were optioned back down.

Remember, stashing prospects should be done strategically and varies from league to league. Don't leave your teams without much depth just because you want all the high-upside prospects on your roster.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Notes on plenty of prospects can be found below the rankings table. And remember, these rankings are for 2024 redraft value only. These are MLB prospects to make a rest-of-season fantasy baseball impact in 2024 potentially.

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Analysis

Noelvi Marte (3B - CIN)

We're almost a week away from Noelvi Marte being able to return to Cincinnati's lineup following the conclusion of his 80-game suspension. As someone with many redraft and dynasty shares, I'd like to quote Lizzo and say, "It's about damn time."

Marte was one of my favorite draft targets this season and has been a prospect I've been high on since he was in the lower levels of the Seattle Mariners organization. Marte brings above-average contact skills with plus power and above-average speed as well. In 123 plate appearances last season with Cincinnati, Marte slashed .316/.366/.456 with a 46.1% hard-hit rate and 91st percentile sprint speed. His all around offensive skillset in Great American Ballpark is a beautiful combination.

Jasson Dominguez (OF - NYY) & Jordan Lawlar (SS - ARI)

Unfortunately, two names in the Top 5 from last week's stash list got injured over the last few days. We're still awaiting more news on the severity of Jasson Dominguez's oblique injury, but Jordan Lawlar was diagnosed with a Grade 1 Hamstring strain and will head back to the injured list.

At this point, he's only worth rostering in deeper redraft leagues as it's not looking like we'll see him in the Majors much this season. I'd still hold Dominguez for now until we hear more regarding how long he'll be out, but he's likely going to be out for a couple of weeks at minimum, possibly longer.

Kyle Manzardo (1B - CLE)

With Jose Ramirez returning from the paternity list, the Cleveland Guardians decided to option Kyle Manzardo down to Triple-A Columbus. It's not a surprising move, as the Guardians had only started Manzardo five times in June and only twice in the final week before he was optioned. It's not like Manzardo's production was that great either, slashing .207/.241/.329 with zero home runs in 87 games. The metrics were decent under the hood, and I'm still a long-term believer, but I'm not sure how much impact we get from Manzardo this season at the MLB level.

Jace Jung (2B/3B - DET)

While he's not the flashiest prospect in the world, Jace Jung is a player that could be fantasy-relevant once he gets the call to Detroit. That call could honestly come any day now, as Jung has been hitting well for Triple-A Toledo this season. In 62 games, Jung is slashing .274/.396/.507 with 17 doubles and 11 home runs. He won't provide any speed, but an above-average hit/power bat at either second or third base could certainly provide some decent value. After playing primarily second base in 2021-2023, Jung has made around 3/4 of his starts at the hot corner this season.

Dylan Crews (OF - WAS)

James Wood isn't the only big-name hitting prospect at Triple-A Rochester anymore, as Dylan Crews was promoted to Rochester on Monday. It's been a decent but underwhelming season for Crews at the plate, at least when compared to expectations. In 211 Double-A plate appearances, Crews slashed a modest .274/.343/.446 with 11 doubles, five home runs, and 15 steals. This is still a prospect worth keeping an eye on, though, as the skills and long-term upside are both still exciting for fantasy purposes.

Agustin Ramirez (C/1B - NYY)

The duo of Ben Rice and Agustin Ramirez have been mashing minor league pitching this season, and now Rice is up in the Majors with the Yankees. While Ramirez is still currently in Double-A, I'm not ruling out a 2024 debut for him, either. Ramirez has been one of the best hitters in Double-A this season, with 13 doubles, 16 home runs, and 13 steals in 57 games with a .290/.374/.571 slash line. I'm not recommending he be stashed quite yet, but definitely keep him on your radar for the second half of the season.

Christian Scott (SP - NYM)

There's no pitching prospect I'd rather stash right now than Christian Scott. Although Shane Baz, Max Meter, and David Festa are all solid stash options as well. Despite pitching well in the Majors, the Mets optioned Scott back to Triple-A, where he now has a 2.91 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and 49/8 BB/K ratio in 34 innings this season. It's not hard to see that Scott should be up with the Mets right now, and it should only be a matter of time before he gets another shot.
