Ranked as the third-best prospect in the Atlanta system, Spencer Schwellenbach's season began with High-A Rome. His stellar performance, boasting a 2.53 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and an impressive 34:9 K:BB ratio through 32 innings, earned him an early promotion to Double-A.

Spencer Schwellenbach gets the call!
For the season, he owns a 1.80 ERA, 2.31 FIP, 16.1 SwStr%, and 31.0 Whiff% across 45.0 IP
He tosses a mid-90s fastball and has a great slider. He has started to weave in more curveballs this season as well

As a result, 29-year-old southpaw Ray Kerr will likely shift to the bullpen for the time being, opening the fifth slot in the major league rotation up for Schwellenbach.
The former second-round selection is worth adding in deeper leagues due to his near-perfect command and high-upside strikeout potential.
