Denny Hamlin got the victory on Sunday night in the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway, but it wasn't a clean finish. His teammate, Martin Truex, Jr., had a dominant performance in the race, but a caution with just a couple of laps remaining caused one final pit stop to occur. During pit stops, Hamlin's team got him out first, a huge advantage at Richmond. On the final restart of the race, Hamlin and Truex were side by side, and it appeared that Hamlin's No. 11 Toyota took off too early before the restart zone allowed. However, NASCAR deemed the restart acceptable, and Hamlin went on to get his second win on the 2024 season and his fifth win at Richmond Raceway. After the race, when asked about the final restart, Denny stated, "Yeah, I mean, I went right at it, for sure. I did that because I saw those guys rolling to me. The 22 was laying back. The 19 was rolling a couple miles an hour quicker than I was. I wasn't going to let them have an advantage that my team earned on pit road." --Jordan McAbee
