Justin Fields's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 11 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Justin Fields for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB1/2
ANALYSIS: He's back!
For the first time since Week 6, Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is set to return to an NFL field. The third-year quarterback had been out since then because of a thumb injury, but he's off the injury report ahead of this week's game against the Detroit Lions.
Fields hasn't played a full game since Oct. 5, but he threw four touchdown passes in that game against the Washington Commanders. In the game before that against Denver, Fields also threw four scores.
Before that thumb injury, it looked like Fields had turned a corner. He's always been a strong fantasy option because he can make big plays with his legs, but his arm seemed to finally start catching up.
Then came the injury. The big question now is if Fields will look rusty when he gets back on the football field this week. The answer to that is probably...well, a little bit. Don't expect four touchdown passes from Fields on Sunday against the Lions as he works his way back into NFL action, but he's still a borderline QB1 play against a Detroit Lions defense that has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
