Aric Almirola makes what may be his final start on an intermediate track in tomorrow's Homestead race, depending on whether he chooses to retire at the end of the 2023 season or not. However, whether he retires or not, it seems unlikely that he will have a strong run. The Stewart-Haas cars have been miserably slow on intermediate tracks all season. While Almirola has been nowhere near as slow on those tracks as his teammates Ryan Preece and Chase Briscoe, he has also been substantially slower than Kevin Harvick. Almirola is also starting 30th tomorrow, worse than any of his teammates. Since he tends to be significantly faster than Preece and Briscoe in races, he should move up through the field somewhat, but probably only so much.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerRead More News
