Erik Jones qualified 23rd for Sunday's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Jones, who does have a Truck series victory at this track (2014), has been largely inconsistent in his Cup career at the "Diamond in the Desert." While he does have four top-10 finishes in just 12 Cup starts, he also has three DNFs and an average finish of just 19.8. Likewise, while he has an unimpressive average of 28.25 DraftKings points over the last four seasons at this track, he has managed to finish in the optimal DK lineup three times over this span. Given these inconsistencies, he must be viewed as a risky play this weekend. Despite these inconsistencies, and while he is not a driver to go overboard on, his starting position does offer enough place differential that makes him worth a dart throw in DFS this weekend.--Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller
