Francisco Lindor Has Surgery On His Elbow

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor (elbow) had surgery on Tuesday to remove a bone spur from his right elbow. The Mets are saying that Lindor is expected to be fully ready for the start of spring training next year. It's a notable development heading into the offseason, but it shouldn't affect the 29-year-old for next season. Lindor got off to an ice-cold start in 2023 in his third season with the team, much like most of the team, and he finished with a .254/.336/.470 slash line with an .806 OPS, 31 home runs, 33 doubles, two triples, 98 RBI, 31 stolen bases and 108 runs scored in 160 games played. Despite being a disappointment in the average department, Lindor produced his first 30-30 season in his ninth big-league campaign.
