Kyren Williams is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Heading into the 2023 season, Cam Akers was expected to be the Los Angeles Rams' clear workhorse back. However, second-year running back Kyren Williams rushed 15 times for 52 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Williams played 53 snaps while Akers played 28 and Williams ran 25 more routes than Akers in Week 1. 11 of Akers' 22 carries came in the Rams' final two drives when the game was out of hand, and he ultimately finished with 22 carries for 29 yards and a touchdown.
Week 1 has been known to be deceiving, but there is convincing evidence that Williams is the team's RB1 by a decent margin. The Los Angeles offense mightily exceeded expectations without Cooper Kupp (hamstring) in the season opener, so there could be more fantasy points on the table for Matthew Stafford's supporting cast than previously thought.
Williams is arguably the top waiver wire add in all of fantasy football for Week 2, along with his teammate Puka Nacua.
