The Minnesota Twins are nearing completion on a deal with rookie first-rounder Walker Jenkins on Tuesday, according to an industry source. Jenkins was the fifth overall pick in this year's MLB draft and is the last unsigned pick from the first round. He's expected to receive a signing bonus of around $7 million. The 18-year-old outfielder comes from a high school in North Carolina, and he has above-average tools across the board at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. He was also a two-way player in high school. At the plate, he has plus power from the left side with the ability to develop into more of an all-around hitter as he matures. Jenkins has the speed to play center field, although he could be moved to a corner spot down the road.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
