Free-agent cornerback Shaquill Griffin agreed to a one-year contract with the Texans on Saturday. The deal will pay him $3.5 million, with $3 million guaranteed. The Jaguars released the 27-year-old in March after appearing in only five games last season because of hip and back injuries. However, he's medically cleared to play. In Griffin's six seasons of service, he's totaled 327 tackles (261 solo), six picks, and one sack, so he should be a reliable member of the Texans defense as long as he remains on the field.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
