The Washington Commanders signed former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Cody Barton to a one-year, fully guaranteed deal on Monday, according to a source. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Barton will head to D.C. after spending the first four seasons of his career in Seattle, where he produced 231 tackles (140 solo), two sacks, five tackles for loss, five QB hits, two interceptions, eight passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 65 games (16 starts). The former third-rounder was a full-time starter for the Seahawks last year and finished with 136 tackles (84 solo), two sacks, four tackles for loss, two picks and six passes defensed in 17 games (11 starts).
