Dallas Cowboys - NFL Betting Analysis

Last week, the Cowboys fell by a score of 31-28 to the Green Bay Packers, giving them a loss in the NFC standings. Dallas lost the game, even though they entered the game as a -3.5 point favorite. Going into the game, the over-under total was set at 44 points, which the teams surpassed. This was a difficult loss for Dallas, as they held 14 point lead heading into the 4th quarter. Through 9 games, the Cowboys have an ATS record of 6-3. So far, they have an over-under record of 4-5. This week's betting total of 47.5 is slightly higher than the line in their previous games.

As the Cowboys prepare to take on Minnesota, they have played well on offense, ranking 11th in points per game at 23.44. Even though they have a tough matchup against the league's 12th-ranked defense, our projections show that the Cowboys could still put together a good offensive performance. Although the Cowboys come into the game ranked just 26th in pass yards per game, they will benefit from facing a Minnesota secondary that is vulnerable through the air. A key matchup to watch through the game is if Dallas will be able to run the ball with their usual effectiveness. For the season, they are averaging 134.56 yards per game on the ground and could add to these totals vs Minnesota.

Minnesota Vikings - NFL Betting Analysis

Last week, the Vikings knocked off the Bills by a score of 33-30. Heading into the game, the Vikings were 6.5-point underdogs, resulting in both a straight-up and ATS victory. In terms of the over-under, the teams combined for 63 points, which surpassed the betting line of 46. Minnesota went into the 4th quarter of the game trailing by 10 at 27-17, but still came back to win and cover the spread as underdogs. Through 9 games, the Vikings have an ATS record of 4-4-1. So far, they have an over-under record of 5-4. This week's betting total of 47.5 is right in line with their previous games.

As the Vikings prepare to take on Dallas, they have played well on offense, ranking 8th in points per game at 25.11. Even though they have a tough matchup against the league's 4th ranked defense, look for Minnesota to continue their strong offensive play. In the passing game, the Vikings will need to be on top of their game, as they are matched up against a Dallas defense that has been tough on opposing quarterbacks. On the ground, the Vikings would benefit from handing the ball off more than usual, as Dallas is one of the worst rush defenses in the NFL.

Today's NFL Betting Pick - Cowboys vs. Vikings

When looking back at the recent matchups between Dallas and Minnesota, the Cowboys have won 2 of the last 3 games. The two teams have combined to average 49.0 points per game in their last 3 meetings. Last season, the Cowboys and Vikings played 1 game vs each other, with Dallas winning by a score of 20-16. The Cowboys entered as 4.5-point underdogs. The over-under line for the game was 49.5 points.

The Dallas Cowboys have performed well vs the spread in recent games, going 2-1. The Cowboys' offense has averaged 25.0 points per game over the 3 most recent meetings with Minnesota, compared to the Vikings at 24.0.

Spanning across their last 3 games, Dallas have gone 2-1. Against the spread, the team is 2-1 in these same games.

Across the Cowboys' last 3 road games, the team averaged 22.33 points per game while allowing 22.33. Their record vs the spread in these contests was 1-2, while going 1-2 straight-up.

Over their last 3 regular season games, the Vikings have gone 3-0 straight up. In addition, their ATS record over this stretch is 2-0-1 while posting a 2-1 over-under mark.

Across their last 3 home contests, Minnesota has been good against the spread posting a mark of 1-2. Their overall mark in these games was 3-0, while averaging 30.33 points per game.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: Vikings 1.0

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Over 47.5
