The Houston Astros are parting ways with general manager James Click after he declined the team's one-year offer, the team announced on Friday. Click's contract expired days after the Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in six games to win the World Series, although he continued to run the team's baseball operations department. Conflict within the organization on baseball operations decision-making persisted throughout the team's championship run, according to sources. Click and manager Dusty Baker were both hired in 2020 after owner Jim Crane fired previous GM Jeff Luhnow and manager A.J. Hinch after the sign-stealing scandal. The 44-year-old Click will surely draw interest across the league for a front-office position after his success in Houston.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
