Brooklyn Nets guard Edmond Sumner (hip) "has a chance" to play in Wednesday's season-opener against the Pelicans. The 26-year-old is expected to receive some minutes early in the season while Seth Curry (ankle) and Joe Harris (foot) work their way back from their respective surgeries. With that said, his absence likely won't impact managers, especially since he probably isn't on many fantasy rosters. Nonetheless, if Sumner is officially ruled out, Cam Thomas may earn additional time on the floor, at least enough to warrant consideration in deeper formats.--Dennis Clausen
