Cowboys Preparing To Start Cooper Rush Against Eagles

Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said the team is preparing for quarterback Cooper Rush to start in Week 6 against the 5-0 Philadelphia Eagles. Dak Prescott (thumb) is making progress from a fractured right thumb that he suffered in the season opener, and he will throw for the first time on the side at practice on Wednesday. However, the Cowboys aren't rushing Prescott back after Rush has gone 4-0 since taking over under center. Rush went just 10-for-16 for 102 yards, no touchdown and an interception in last week's win over the Los Angeles Rams. The 28-year-old will likely have to throw the ball much more this Sunday night against Philly, but he'll remain nothing more than a low-end QB2 option in superflex leagues for at least another week.
